    An immersive dinner held in London for the launch of NEST New York’s perfume collection VOYAGES. Theresa Lola wrote and read two bespoke poems that captured the depth and stories behind the perfumes, wandering through the room as she read.     Theresa performed a specially written poem at a dinner in celebration of Professor Benedict Okey Oramah, the outgoing Chairman of African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) . The evening held in The Peninsula Hotels London was in honour of Professor Oramah’s leadership over the years actively developing trade between African countries and the Caribbean, and reshaping economic prosperity.

    Sensing the Unseen: Step into Gossaert's 'Adoration' was an immersive experience that featured interactive design, ambient sounds, and poetry to uncover the unseen elements of the 16th-century painting Adoration of Kings by Jan Gossaert’.

    Theresa Lola was commissioned to write a poem from the perspective of the Black king in the painting. Look at the Revival. Audiences listened to the poem and sounds in pods.

  • London Growth Plan - Commission

    Theresa Lola was commissioned to write and voice a poem for the launch of the London Growth Plan led by Mayor of London Sadiq Khan. The large scale plan is a ten year strategy to boost the tech, health, and creative sectors .

    Theresa’s poem ‘Tomorrow Will Remember This Day’ and the accompanying film was shown at the launch event held at Imperial College .

    ‘Ode to Mothers’ Nature’ was specially commissioned by Selfridges for Mother’s Day. In addition Theresa facilitated an online poetry writing session for Selfridges consumers to write their own poems.

    Royal Festival Hall is a landmark venue in London. To celebrate the 70th year anniversary, they commissioned Theresa to write a poem for the hall, taking inspiration from its architecture and archives. The result is ‘Offerings and Exchange’.
